You mean I can't use my Zune with my Mac?

OHHH the travesty..
and I've already thrown away my iPod.
NOT
The zune is going to fail miserably, and there are many reasons.
First off, people like the 99 cent thing, not the 79 points?? thing.
Second, the clickwheel thing. The iPod won the hearts of the people with its elegant, simple interface.
Third, Microsoft has never been thought of as being a "hip" company.
Fourth, the iPod has a huge head start (it was introduced in October 2001)
Fifth, and arguably most important, is the fact that Microsoft has no one in the company who can deal with the music industry. I mean, lets face it, Steve Jobs can play hardball with those jackasses. They tried to squeeze more money out of him and he balked, and they backed down. MicroSOFT has already folded and decided to give the music industry $ for every zune sold (because supposedly if you own a portable media device you HAVE to be stealing music)

What a lame argument from the music industry, and what a lame negotiation from Microsoft.

I could go on and on, but Countdown is coming on.

GUI features even work in the terminal

If you are new to the command line interface (the Terminal) in OS X, you may find it tedious to type out full path names to files or folders. If you are working in the terminal, and need to add a folder path, just open up a finder window and drag and drop the folder into the terminal window and presto, the full path is added to your command. This works with network folders as well. As you can see in the photo, I typed the copy command and then dragged in a video and a network folder to copy the video to to my testing server. Of course this is not the easiest or best way to move the file, but it is a great way for those new to the terminal to learn the syntax for various commands. Of course, you don't get all that good typing practice.

OS X Tip of the Day

Everyone knows that Google is the standard for web searches. But did you know that Google provides custom searches just for mac users? It's great for finding OS X related stuff, or I would assume anything to do with macs.
Just click on the title to try it out, or point your web browser to-- http://www.google.com/mac

OS X Tip of the Day

If you are new to OS X, you may be confused as to how to take a screenshot. For most of my career in OS X, I have been opening up the grab app and taking a screenshot that way. Grab is a great app, and it may be an advantage to use grab sometimes, like if you wanted capture just the contents of one window. But many times you just want a quick and easy keyboard shortcut to a screenshot... so here it is... Command-Shift-3. This will take a screenshot and place the .png file on your desktop. More OS X tips to come...

This is my cousin Kailey Roberts!
